My Precision 3 just died for the second time now within one year, both times happened to be right before a target race. The first time it took almost a month to get back from warranty repair so I'm not looking forward to dealing with that process again. I think I may have to move on to a different brand and sell my 4iiii unit once I get it back from repair again.
I have used the product for approximately 2 months on my Tarmac and the battery has only dropped 1%, pairing with my bike computer was effortless and so far I have no complaints!.
My unit has already started malfunctioning in less than a year and their solution is for me to send it back for 3 weeks leaving me with a useless bike. On a product this expensive, I would expect customer service that ensures you don't need to give up your bike. While this is consistently the cheapest power meter, you may be getting what you pay for and I would advise you to look elsewhere!
Sorry to hear that your powermeter is malfunctioning. Please keep an eye on your inbox. Our support team will be getting in touch with you again shortly to find a solution so you are not without your bike.
The 4iiii Team
After lots of confusion as to whether or not the Precision 3 would fit on my Canyon Grail AL, I reached out to 4iii customer service. They confirmed that it would in fact fit, so I purchased one. With the snow outside, I currently have the bike as my indoor trainer on Zwift. Easy to "scale" the single side into double side data. I'm typically 49/51 power as measured with my Assioma power pedals, and I've scaled to the Precision 3s to reflect that. The power data is within the margin of error when compared to the data tracked by my Wahoo Kickr Core. So far, so good. No frame clearance or connectivity issues with my Garmin 830. Docked a star because the battery shipped with 78% battery life.
I’ve had a couple of different brand power meters, and this one has been great so far! I don’t have too many miles on it yet, but install and setup was super easy. Also I love the look and super minimal design. Looking forward to testing it out longer term for battery, and power readings, but so far it has been very accurate compared to my other power meters as far as data goes.
