4iiii Viiiiva heart rate monitors use both the ANT+ PWR and Bluetooth Smart Cycling Power Service standards, which makes them compatible with nearly every headunit, smartphone, or computer you wish to connect to. Check your recording device documentation for ANT+ PWR or Bluetooth Smart (also called BLE, BTLE, or BT4.0) Cycling Power Service capability.
Tip: A 4iiii Viiiiva can be used to record your workouts along with your heart rate.
I use this with my Specialized Kenevo SL which has a HR display on the TCU (very useful). The bridge transfers the bike's cadence, power and pace/distance metrics from ANT+ via Bluetooth to the WorkOutDoors iOS app that I use (actually, it connects directly to the WorkOutDoors WatchOS app to record the ride). This is app also has a map and I've used it to navigate (from my watch) on MTB rides. This wouldn't be possible without this Viiiiva. I've noticed that using the Apple Watch GPS for distance metrics on MTB rides is not as accurate as actually using the data from the bike (rotations of wheel X wheel diameter which the app understands).
If you have ANT+ sensors and want to get that data via Bluetooth, get this!
(note: Viiiiva will only connect to one BT device at a time, so you may need to turn off BT on your phone after setting it up with the Viiiiva App to get it to connect to your watch. Then you can turn BT on your phone back on. Next time it will reconnect to the watch)
I haven’t received it yet. Ordered with a power meter install 12/10. Still waiting
Heart rate sensor picked up quickly, and was very accurate. Its bridging capabilities were very useful for my third party apps. I was able to use Viiiiva to pick up my Ant+ device and transmit it to Rouvy on my iPhone. Unfortunately, I was un able to use Viiiiva with the same Ant+ device for my AppleTV Rouvy app. I guess my iPhone Bluetooth works better than my AppleTV Bluetooth.
I love the Viiiiva as an HRM and for its Bluetooth relaying of older ANT sensors.
The fit file memory has come in handy a few times to recover ride data otherwise lost by a dead head unit.
AND the support is great. I started having some problems with my 3 year old Viiiiva and the support person quickly had my issue resolved.
